Afflictions, restrictions<\/p>\n

Divisions are striking<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Journalist discourse is less than our liking<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

We’ve ground to a halt<\/p>\n

A standstill, an impasse<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Diplomats stiffen our hope in great trespass<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

But in the obscure<\/p>\n

An elation, a splendor – <\/p>\n

The joy of the youth won’t yield nor surrender<\/span><\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Obstacle?  Upset?<\/p>\n

Setback?  Concern?<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

They’ll regroup, restore, and swiftly discern<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

A sail on the boundary<\/p>\n

Where we saw none<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

So bravo to children – my daughter, my son!<\/p>\n


<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

COVID can’t somber<\/p>\n

The laughter inside<\/p>\n

Pandemics can’t blot out the joy they provide<\/span><\/p>\n


<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Arc de Triomphe!<\/p>\n

The victory is theirs!<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Our model for grasping our state of affairs<\/p>\n

Onward and upward <\/p>\n

Endure, and persist<\/p>\n

COVID – you’re out.  You’re excused.  You’re dismissed!<\/p>\n
